profitable as possible by working in partnership with them and advising

Choose your own career path as an APS. Career opportunities include:
- Agronomy Production Specialist.
Is the primary contact with growers, providing information that will
help increase their productivity and efficiency, and that will increase
the retail dealer's sales volumes for agronomy and seed products.
- Regional Proprietary Specialist.
Provides sales and technical training and information to local sellers. Increases local sales by positioning the AgriSolutionsTM and CROPLAN GENETICS brands.
- District Sales Manager.
Provides technical product and sales training. Assists local retailer in building sales volume through strategic marketing.
- Retail Sales Manager.
Provides direction to APSs and others within his or her territory
through coaching and supervision. Coordinates sales and product
training, helps APSs set short- and long-term agronomy and seed sales
goals and continually monitors all aspects of the selling process with
a high level of professionalism.
- Agronomy Department Manager.
Coordinates the daily activities of all department personnel at a local
retailer, including inventory management, product pricing, budgeting
and forecasting, equipment maintenance and repair, sales call planning,
customer invoicing, and all other activity within the agronomy
department.
- Regional Agronomy or Seed Sales Manager.
Improves the quality of service to our retail customers
in the region. Manages all agronomy and seed sales personnel, providing
assistance and consultation on any matter affecting agronomy and seed
sales.
APS Job Responsibilities:
The majority of your days will be spent walking fields and working
one-on-one with growers. While no two days are alike for an APS, some
of the main responsibilities include: - Making recommendations on crop nutrient, crop protection and seed selections;
- Promoting agronomic product sales to current and potential customers;
- Serving as a local resource for technical information.
- Conducting local demonstration plots, tours and grower meetings;
- Attending
AgriSolutions™ and CROPLAN GENETICS® training sessions to hone your business
and marketing skills, plus increase your knowledge of changing crop
production practices and agronomic trends.
